COUGAR MOUNTAIN BAKING COMPANY CONCLUDES VOLUNTARY
RECALL OF ITS PEANUT BUTTER VARIETY PRODUCTS
|
SEATTLE, Wash. – Feb. 24, 2009 – Cougar Mountain Baking Company has concluded it's voluntary recall of peanut varieties that possibly contained nuts from PCA that were subject to their recall. All items that were in question have been removed from store shelves and destroyed. We have resumed production of all the varieties that had been recalled and they are all now safe to eat. New items will carry a "DOES NOT CONTAIN PCA PRODUCTS" sticker on the outside of the package. We will continue this practice for at least two months for clarity. Please read our quality assurance letter for more information, including the quality assurance of our peanut butter provider. If you feel you may have an old item that was subject to the recall, please read the recall press release for information on which items had been recalled. If you have any questions, please contact us by clicking the "contact us" link below and choosing your preferred contact method. |
